PokerRoomSchool player wins 2nd place in ECOOP IV event #1

29 Jun, 2009

One of our top players, Jesper Poels, age 22, from Ysselsteyn (Netherland) won $27,500 in one of the larger ECOOP IV events. We took the time to interview him and get to know him a little better.

PRS: How did you get started playing poker and what made you choose CDPoker?

JP: I started playing with some friends at live games. After that I got free money at

several sites, which I donked away :)

Then I got a tip from a friend to sign up via PokerRoomSchool.com and get $50

free. And CDPoker was a nice site with great online support and

so I stayed.

PRS: What do you think are the advantages/disadvantages of playing online?

JP: Advanteges of playing online are playing more tourneys at once than live.

But you can't see the live tells...

PRS: Is this your first big win?

JP: This is my first big poker win, but I won the Autospeedway of Ysselsteyn
before.

PRS: What is your most memorable hand of this event?

JP: Winning with my QQ vs AA.

PRS: Tell us about your most memorable bad beat story, either for or against

you.

JP: Too many to tell...

PRS: What would you recommend to those of us who want to improve their game and

become professional?

JP: Read some good books and don't play above your limit.

PRS: Do you have any plans regarding your winnings?

JP: Not yet. Maybe a trip to Las Vegas...
